Gina Torkos serendipitously fell in love with the art of collage while doing her own art homework. An avid oil painter and member of OPA, Gina spends time researching, understanding and perfecting all the basic fundamentals of art (value, color, edges, etc.). While studying color, she used magazine scraps to fill journals full of color combinations. This led to an interest in collage that has evolved I  to a passion. After attending numerous college workshops (some by Derek Gores), she has taken that knowledge to create a fresh style that is uniquely hers. From afar, her works looks like a painting, but get up close and be surprised by what you see. Gina lives on Marine Street and in NYC.
